So. I guess this whole journey started yesterday at ten at night. Was I ready to go? Nope. It wasn't because of my packing either. I wasn't ready to leave my support system. I hate the whole idea of not seeing certain people again for awhile. I understand that I needed to go, and I needed to get away from a toxic situation, but that doesn't change the fact that I couldn't stop crying.
Anywho. I have arrived at my home for the next four months and three days (not that I'm counting). My roommate and I are getting along quite well. We seem to have a lot in common, so that helps things. And the whole living condition isn't awful. I even have a walk in closet to share with my roommate, as well as the fact that we have our own bathroom as well. And! There's a balcony! Whee! Surprisingly though, there are a total of six girls living in here. Crazy! I'm going to try and get some pictures up soon so you can all see it, but with my laptop put of comission for who knows how long, it may be awhile.
Also, it's fun to watch the Disney people freak out about 35 degree weather. All of the "cast members" were dressed in heavy coats and gloves. Ha! Guess that whole living in colorado paid off after all.
Some other highlights from the day:
Engage your deadbolt
Receiving the actual Disney look book. It's all classy and stuff. Go figure.
Realizing that there was a packet about bloodborne diseases or something in the bag with the worker's manual.
Actually getting a taste of what I'm going to be doing for the next four months - if it all goes according to plan.
Amazing people with my packing skills.
Getting the "greatest" picture ever taken of myself placed on a photo ID. It's pretty awful.
I'm sure I could elaborate more, but the whole lack of sleep on top of standing around in lines and playing the hurry up and wait game has actually made me quite sleepy.
