So. I've been back for a little over two weeks now, and it still seems a little odd. Although, I think I'm getting ahead of myself.
The last month of the "Disney experience" went by a lot faster than I expected it to. I think it was due to the fact that the roommate fight forced me to be social with people, and through that forced socialization I finally made friends. Thanks to Brandon, Amanda, and Leighton those last few weeks were some of the best I experienced in a long time.
Overall, when it was finally time to take my two suitcases and leave Disney World, I had more mixed emotions about the whole thing than I expected. I was ready to get back to Colorado, but at the same time I wanted to take my Florida people (Brandon, Leighton, Amanda, Sara, and Morgan) with me.
But when that plane touched down at DIA, I had no idea that I not only would have the altitude to adjust to, but also people's attitudes too. And it's really hard to go back to your house and see your brother's car sitting in the driveway "mocking" you. It's not really mocking you, it just feels like it is. The car actually starts mocking you when your brother puts on his matching sunglasses to drive it. Also, it's really weird to go back to your high school to see a younger sibling graduate. It's pretty surreal. Not to mention all the pride and excitement you feel when you see your "little" sister walk across that stage to get her diploma.
Also. This may make me an attention whore, but it's really nice to hear people say, "We're glad that you're back." It's just nice to know that I wasn't the only person doing the missing.
Overall, it's good to be back. I'm getting into the swing of things, and being back at the Regis totally helps with that. Although the fact that I have nothing really to do after work still feels really strange, and boring to me. I'll actually be glad when my summer class starts in two weeks so I'll have something to do at night other than just sitting in my phone booth of a dorm room.
Anyway. My life isn't too interesting, but I felt like I should update this blog. I missed it and I felt bad that I slacked off the last month I was there.

It all seems overdue...
The past week made me realize how overdue I am for certain things on this trip. Mainly - making friends and going to the beach.
Since the last post, I've actually been able to accomplish both (weird!)! We refer to ourselves as the "Fantasmic 4" mainly because we're all super nerds and work together. But it's nice to know I have people outside of my one super fabulous friend Sara (I'd probably be home or on my last leg of this program if it wasn't for her) to hang out with. It's nice to find other people that enjoy Guitar Hero/Rock Band and actually understand my Flight of the Conchord references. Also. It's nice to have people who laugh at my jokes and random outbursts instead of telling me that they think I have tourettes. Yes. That happened. But I'm trying not to be bitter.
Anyway! I was also able to terrify some roommates (or at least I was told that I did). How was this exactly accomplished? I was finally honest with my mom, about how she's made me feel over the past year. In the process I was yelling so loud that people in the living room could hear me despite the fact that I had both the closet door and the bedroom door shut. Did I learn things? Sure. Did I get the closure I needed? Kinda. Did I still feel hurt? Of course. But I try to take all the things said with a grain of salt, but that doesn't take away that stinging sensation. Ah well. Overall, I feel better knowing that it's all out in the open now.
Now onto the new and exciting things!
I bought a Fantasmic! Cast and Crew hoodie. I basically had to sell an arm, my left leg, and a piece of my soul to afford it, so hopefully it's worth it. I figure it'll be like my Letterman's jacket or something.
Also...I (finally) went to the beach!! Today with my work buddies, we went to Mellbourne beach, which I think is a little past Cocoa Beach, for anyone that actually knows Florida geography.
Here's the f
irst picture of the beach! I think it turned out pretty well. My first impression of the beach: it smelled like fish, but only for the first thirty seconds. And then I got over it.
I think this whole day at the beach thing was exactly what I needed. It was nice to get out of Orlando and just hang out. I loved just laying on my beach towel and listening to the waves crash against the sand. Not to mention that one of my friends from work is musically inclined and he brought his set of tam-tams along so the light
percussion really made for a good environment to relax in. What it comes down to is I think I need to try and relax more often.
And on a completely random tangent, to your right you should see the car of ridiculous shouting and speculation: the Lobster car of wonder! I basically want to know how much they get paid to drive around in this car, and how they get into the car in the first place, because it totally looks like a challenge since the legs are clearly blocking the door. Fascinating. I also think that it has to make driving a little more dangerous since you have a HUGE LOBSTER on top of your car. Just saying.
Anyway...I think that's about it. Not too much here that's new. Just counting down the days until I can come home. Yeah, it sounds horrible, but at the same time it's forcing me to try and take advantage of the time that I have left.
I hope things are going well for all of you that actually take time to read this. I appreciate it! :)

So I guess it's been fourteen days or so. Guess it's about time for me to update this thingy...
It’s been about two weeks since I actually sat down and blogged. So first let me just apologize to the readers: Sorry for being so lazy the past two weeks. There. Apology done. Now on to the actual entry!
Last week, starting on March 25, I had my favorite visitor come to see me! Sorry to everyone else, but David Mack came to see me. It was really fun, and nice to get out of this apartment for awhile.
Last week, starting on March 25, I had my favorite visitor come to see me! Sorry to everyone else, but David Mack came to see me. It was really fun, and nice to get out of this apartment for awhile.
The first day
Mr. Mack arrived we ran around Downtown Disney, we had to go and see the Lego Dragon after all. Then it was time for David to meet Mr. Buzz Lightyear, obviously. After that we went to my stomping grounds of Hollywood Studios and played around there. There was a brief intermission when we went to drop our stuff off at the hotel, but then we went back to Hollywood Studios for our lunch reservation at the S
ci-Fi Drive In Theater, it's themed like a drive-in and shows clips of fifties horror and monster movies, and you get to sit in booths inside fifties cars. We also decided to try the "Space Invaders" drink, I mean with a name like that how could you resist?!So after we ate like obese people and rode a couple more rides, before ending the night at the show that I do the costumes for.
The next day we went to the Magic Kingdom. I made him stand in line with me to get the Happy Anniversary buttons, because I thought it would be funny. And then I practically twisted his arm off so that I could get a picture of us together in front of the castle. Simply because I have a frame that this picture will look perfect in. The end.
The third day we went to Animal Kingdom and Epcot, which was exhausting but fun. I don’t think I have fallen asleep that fast in a long long time. So yay for exhaustion!
The fourth day we checked out of the hotel then went to grab some lunch, and after that it was time to take David back to the airport. I still can’t believe how fast time went by and I wasn’t ready for the visit to end. Which probably explains why I started crying when it was time for him to get out of the car and head into the airport.
After that, it was back to the grind, and as we all can easily gather means more homework, and more long nights at the work thing.
Let’s see…other random things that happened since I updated last:
My brother unfriended me on facebook. Figure that one out. I think it’s because I told my sister that he had a girlfriend. Well…if you don’t want people to know that stuff, don’t make it public on facebook. Just saying.
Fantasmic is showing seven nights a week both this week and last week, which means – no character room for me! Hooray! But after this week, I have to go back. Boo. Apparently one of the managers took away the chairs in the laundry area because he didn’t like how people were sitting around folding laundry. Okay. Why don’t you come back here and do laundry for four hours and not sit down.
Roommate drama went down last night; it was only a matter of time. I don’t really think things were resolved. There’s the illusion of things getting better, but me being the pessimist I am, I don’t think they will. I just wish I had known earlier that I was making people “jealous” whatever.
I just want to come home. And by home, I mean I want to be with my pseudo families again.

Warning: seagulls might eat your baby...
So.I just want to warn everyone about the seagulls here at Disney World. I was at Epcot today with my roommate Sara enjoying some fish and chips, when out of no where a seagull swoops down and takes my fish right out of my hand! I was shocked - and deeply saddened. For the fish and chips really were delicious, and the seagull ruined my dining experience by cutting it short. Ah well.
In other news...we're heading into the busy season here at Disney World. Yay. What does this mean exactly? Two weeks of labor exceptions. Sounds good right? WRONG. It means that the days you would normally have class - you don't. Class is canceled for two weeks so that Disney can make you work. Yay! I'm not excited. I'm terrified.
What else has gone on this week...I worked a lot. Go figure. Although I did find time to dye my hair. It was getting pretty awful for a couple weeks there. It was all brassy and the roots were showing, and now it looks more normal, and quite possibly - more Disney Look appropriate. I can't wait until I come home and I'm able to paint my nails how I want, wear whatever earrings I want, and wear whatever clothes I want. Polyester will probably be omitted.
So. That whole experiment I was talking about in our last episode? Total failure. Maybe I just expect too much out of people. Ah well.
I'm working on the whole picture thing...kinda. Hopefully by the next time I post I'll actually have new pictures and such since I'm going to be walking around the parks with a new companion for a couple days. :)
Anyway. Other than super obnoxious seagulls (Damn you!) there's nothing too interesting to report. Work. Homework. Sleep. Rinse. Repeat. Whee!

It's far from average and ordinary...
*Serious face*
It seems...the more people that come to see me - the more homesick I get. I realize that I have (finally) surrounded myself with people that genuinely care about me. I miss seeing all of you at least once a week. And these brief glimpses of people, make me realize how special all of you are to me, and the fact that I can't wait to have my homecoming party and see you all again!
So. Clearly you can tell that I've had a fair share of people come to Florida (Allow me to give a shout out to Sawyer, Zoe, Chris and Wendy, and then Steven!). It was refreshing to have some Colorado people around. Don't get me wrong. I get along with my roommates, I'd just like it if they could retain more information about my life. I'm sick of being asked the same questions eighty times, or being told that they forgot. I live a simple life. I do homework. I work. I come back here. Rinse. Repeat. I'm not one of those crazy party kids. I'm an "old soul" as Sonja at work says. Haha.
In other news...I wish Fantasmic was every day. Seriously. I love the people there. I love the show. But basically, I love the fact that every single freaking time it starts I get goosebumps as if it's my first time working it. Either way. It's still fun. Even if the Snow Hag is being a diva and complains to everyone else but me. So then eighty gagillion (aka three) people come and talk to me before the second show about it. Sweet. It's cool though. I rocked the second show. I got a high five from the Snow Hag, so I'd say it went well.
As for anything for you people to be on the lookout for: any rumors you hear about me staying with the college program until August are false. I'm just spreading them as a test. So far the "guinea pigs" are failing. I think it's just another one of those moments where I expect too much from people. Boo sauce.
Other random thoughts/tangents:
-Don't ride Mission Space with two Margaritas in you. But feel free to ride Mission Space with a huge thing of beer in your belly, two plates of food, and one dessert plate.
-Laughter, hugs, fireworks, and pineapple floats are the best way to turn around a bad day.
-When I come home from eight hours of work and go to my room at midnight, it's not because I'm being anti-social, I'm just exhausted. Go freaking figure.
-I haven't taken pictures in awhile. Fail.
-One of my crazy managers wants me to go full time. Ha. That's not going to happen.
-I want to run in the Princess Marathon next year. Which means I'm going to actually have to train. *sigh* Anyone want to help me?
-I could totally go for some tacos right now.
Yep. Sorry about the lack of pictures, I'm just trying not to drown in the abyss of homework, class, and work. The water is going to get a little rough soon. But have no fear. It's nothing I haven't dealt with before.
Until next time. Message me you fools! :P Make good choices and stuff.

Peaks and Valleys.
So, the past week and a half has been an adventure. The drama that I was trying to get away from - found me anyway. Go figure. I don't know why I thought the whole running away from things would help.
Other than that, nothing too interesting to report. Other than the fact that it seems to always rain on the one day I try to go to the parks every week. But now that I have an umbrella, maybe it won't suck so bad. I also won an end table at this Swap Shop thing. It's bright blue, and really neat. I want to put it out on the balcony next to the chairs (if we ever get some). I also think it would be really cool to cover the top of it in chalkboard paint so that when you're sitting outside you can doodle and stuff too. I don't know. Maybe it's one of those ideas that sounds (and looks) better in my head. I also don't know if I'll be mailing it back, or leaving it here for some other College Program kid to use.
So this table of awesome and potential originally came from this land called Ikea. Despite the rough week I last week, I was able to enjoy the couple trips to Ikea, and I am sure that it will be sorely missed when I come home. Because it's a store of everything. It's like that store by Park Meadows, The Great Indoors, but on crack, with food, and at half the price. It's fantastic. I can't wait to go back. Haha.
So. Something else that really bothers me is the fact that my family still expects me to be looking for some sort of "Prince Charming" while I'm down here. My mom made my brother text me about it, (Have you kissed any frogs lately? Have you found your prince yet?)and then my grandparents ask me if I've found any boys yet. Excuse me! I'm already in a relationship. Thanks. It'd be great if you could recognize this fact, and maybe even accept it. *Sigh*
So I'm going to make a couple kids cry now, and ruin a piece of the Disney Magic because I have a story that needs to be told regardless. Two heads went missing last week. And by missing I mean they fell off a Pargo (Why can't they just call it a golf cart! That's what it is!). And who lost their heads? Why Stitch and BLT Mickey (No. Not a sandwich. It's another "fantastic" abbreviation brought to you by Disney because saying Brave Little Tailor takes too long. Wtf.)of course. So guess who had to run around looking for them with her boss before her shift even started? I did. Apparently some operation or maintenence people picked them up, so we had to go to this building with NO ONE in it at the time and try and find them. Perfect start to a horror movie? Probably.
Let's see...other Disney stuff...I basically just work and do homework. It's not too interesting, but I'm still having fun. Fantasmic is still my two favorite work days of the week, simply because the people are awesome, and I can't get sick of what I do. I've been trained on three of the five different tracks now, and I'm learning another track on Sunday.
So yeah. Here are some pictures. Yay.

That's the conolli and mini tiramisu cup I had for dessert one day in the Italy pavilion. They were fantastic.

This is the view from across the lake from the Italy pavilion to the Epcot ball, on yet another day where it was rainy on my day off. But it still looks pretty cool.
So yeah. There you go. Keep on keepin' on you rock stars you. Miss you. Some more than others, but at least I'm being honest.

Fantasmic. It's a rush.
I wanted to write this entry yesterday, but the fact that I went to bed at midnight and I had to get up at 5:15 in the morning, left me with little motivation to post this. Go figure!
Anyway. Class was good, minus the whole fact that I had to wake up early on my day off and wear business casual clothes for four hours. I know. It could be worse. I'm just being slightly bitter. Don't worry. Give me another couple of weeks, and then I'll finally be over it.
Anyway. I had my first hands-on training day at Fantasmic today. Last Sunday it was technically training, but that meant just following one of the co-coordinators around, and watching both shows (once in the control booth, and once behind stage). Either way you watch the show, it's pretty amazing. So, my first training track, means that I am in charge of preparing Classic Mickey, Normal Mickey (He starts the show), BLT Mickey (Oh crap...there are those freaking abbreviations), and the Snow Witch after she's sacrificed her beauty and turns into the ugly hag. Bare in mind, the show is only thirty minutes long. So time flies! Thank god. I don't handle breaks at work very well. I'm used to running around like a chicken with my head cut off and getting everything done. So the fact that there's like a minute to "accelerate" the Snow Witch's transformation before she's needed again - it's a rush. It really makes me wish I had done theater stuff earlier on in my life. Not the whole acting thing (I mumble way too much, and I'm super awkward in case you missed that memo) but the behind the scenes stuff. I'm honestly having a blast - on Fantasmic nights.
When it's not a Fantasmic day...and I'm in the character room...Oh boy. I'm going to be completely honest, which is usually quite a feat for myself. I can't really stand it. People are really clique-ish, and I usually sit alone at lunch, which isn't so bad when I want to get stuff done, but it'd be nice to be social with people every once in awhile. And! I've tried, I usually just get random looks. Unless the retirees are there. I get along with them. But they're only at work once a week or so. So there's the first issue. The second issue: I work too fast. Haha. I don't know how to pace myself. I finished helping all five of my characters one day in an hour and a half. They gave me three hours to work on ALL of them. So then I wander. Up and down the aisles looking for characters that need my assistance. And since there are eighty gazillion other people working, all of the other characters usually don't need my help. And since I don't want to step on other peoples toes and get the "WTF are you doing" or "Quit working SO hard" face, I mind my own business and hide in the aisles. I literally spent two hours looking for loose hangers on these aisles. Uggh.
So clearly, I need to stay busy. The end. Thank god for Fantasmic. Too bad it's only two nights a week. Le sigh.
In other news. I (finally) bought myself a container of cocoa. Not any cocoa, but ORANGE cocoa. It still weirds me out that my normally brown hot chocolate is now a creamsicle color. It's pretty delicious, and I figured since so many people are in the process of receiving various forms of this color changing cocoa, I should try it to make sure I wasn't sending my pseudo families crappy gifts.
So there's the quick update. Maybe pictures soon, I'm just running out of the knock your socks off pictures.
